Chapter I — The Trade Route
Carlin wants a trade route to the icy continent of Tarafhyr, and the Sea Tyrants along the way
are in the way. This chapter unlocks the permanent ferry between Carlin and
Nivarya.
The keyword is the city name. Say nivarya to Queen
Eloise and to any captain to talk about passage to the city. The older spelling
nivaria is still understood, so nobody's habits break.
Mission1
The Queen's Trade Route
Quest log: “The Queen's Trade Route”
- Go to Queen Eloise in the Carlin palace. Say hi →
nivarya → yes. She grants you permission
to sail.
- Go to Captain Depward at the Carlin harbour. Say nivarya
→ yes and pay 360 gold. The ship never arrives —
it crashes on an island above a Sea Tyrant nest.
- Talk to Depward again on the wreck: hi → yes.
He asks you to weaken the nest.
- Use the passage on the wreck to drop into the nest below and kill
500 Sea Tyrants. It only opens once you have accepted the task from Depward.
- Return to Depward and say mission → yes.
Reward: Captain Depward now ferries you between Carlin and Nivarya for
360 gold, permanently.
Next: Mission 2 — find Inquisitor Rayin in the city of Nivarya.
Chapter II — The Inquisition of Nivarya
Inquisitor Rayin is the hub for missions 2 through 7. Every mission follows the same
loop: Rayin sends you to a citizen, you do their job, you report back to the citizen, then you report
back to Rayin — who immediately hands you the next one. Finishing the chapter
opens the Nivarya bastion.
Don't skip the round trip. If you finish a task but never return to Rayin, the next
NPC will not have a mission for you. When in doubt, say mission to Rayin.
Mission2
Sewer Goblins
Quest log: “Sewer Goblins”
- Say mission → yes to Inquisitor
Rayin to join the Inquisition's service.
- Go to Satir at the archery shop. Say mission →
yes.
- Find the goblin nest in the city sewers and kill 350 Ice Goblins.
- Report to Satir with mission.
- Report to Rayin with mission → yes.
Next: Mission 3 — Rayin sends you to Visary at the magic shop.
Mission3
The Witches of the Jothuns
Quest log: “The Witches of the Jothuns”
- Go to Visary at the magic shop and say mission.
He explains the Ice Witches are turning the friendly Jothun giants against Nivarya.
- Travel to the Jothun village and kill 250 Ice Witches.
- Report to Visary with mission.
- Report to Rayin with mission → yes.
Next: Mission 4 — Rayin sends you to Monk Fryns at the city temple.
Mission4
Old Brend's Farm
Quest log: “Old Brend's Farm”
- Speak to Monk Fryns at the city temple: mission.
Brend's farm has stopped delivering food and his wives have disappeared.
- Travel to Old Brend's farm and search it. There is a letter
hidden on the property — read it. That is what completes the investigation;
nothing else on the farm counts.
- Return to Monk Fryns and say mission.
- Report to Rayin with mission → yes.
Stuck here? This is the mission players get stuck on most often. If Fryns keeps
saying you were supposed to investigate, you have not read the letter yet — finding
it is not enough, you have to open it.
Next: Mission 5 — Rayin sends you to Captain Frosty at the Nivarya harbour.
Mission5
Mission6
Arxcel's Star Herbs
Quest log: “Arxcel's Star Herbs”
- Find Arxcel in his cave east of Nivarya and say
mission. He needs star herbs from a ruin northwest of the city.
- Travel to the ruin northwest of Nivarya and find Inquisitor Blade
outside it. Say mission — he wants proof of your strength first.
- Kill 150 Giant Skeletons in the area around the ruin.
- Say mission to Blade again. He grants you entry.
- Enter the underground ruin through the mountain cave. It is full of vampires.
On the ground floor, to the right, there is a garden — use the
star herbs there. You receive 2 star herbs.
- Return to Arxcel with mission.
- Report to Rayin with mission → yes.
Blade's parting advice, verbatim: “Vampire Anatomy 101 — you use a wooden stake,
silver, or sunlight to kill them.”
Next: Mission 7 — Rayin's own final task, the armory delivery.
Mission7
Chapter III — The Curse of Tarafhyr
Everything up to now was the warm-up. Chapter III leaves the city walls behind: the western expedition
base, the Undead Island beyond the mountain, Queen Persh's throne room, and the cathedral where
Sapiovor waits.
Bring friends. Nothing here is technically party-locked, but Frozemoths, the two
champions and a 50,000 HP final boss are not solo content for most vocations. Missions 9 and 10 can
be worked on in parallel once Mission 8 is done.
Mission8
Western Expedition
Quest log: “Western Expedition”
- Enter the Nivarya bastion and find High Inquisitor Fluleon.
Say mission and answer yes to his questions.
He tells you the history of the cursed continent and clears you for the expedition.
- Travel to the expedition base in the western mountains and find
High Inquisitor Sereun. Say mission →
yes.
- Go to the underground farm east of the base and kill
100 Giant Demon Skeletons.
- Return to Sereun: mission → yes.
Reward: clearance to cross the mountain wall into the cursed lands — the
volcanic activity to the northwest and the lost royal library.
Next: Mission 9 — the Undead Island. Mission 10 also unlocks here and can
be farmed in parallel.
Mission9
The Sealed Void Draken
Quest log: “The Sealed Void Draken”
- Use the Undead Mirror passage to reach the Undead Island. It only opens for
characters with 500 Frozemoth kills; otherwise it just tells you that you are
not worthy.
- Clear the five pagoda rooms. Each room has two small pagodas that
must both be lit. Once they are, stepping on the room's trigger tile opens that
room's passage and spawns two random undead (anything from a Demon Skeleton up to
a Lich or Giant Demon Skeleton). A room resets after 15 minutes.
- With all five pagodas lit, the main passage to the throne room opens. It stays open
for 30 minutes, so do not wander off.
- In the throne room, place gems on Queen Persh's gem-switch tiles — see the
gem puzzle layout below — then pull the lever. The gems are
consumed and you are teleported inside.
- Speak to the Sealed Void Draken: mission →
yes. He is Sayron, Queen Persh's loyal protector, and he explains
how Tafariel's curse works.
- Find Queen Persh's flame and step into it to absorb the
essence of loyalty.
Next: Mission 11 at the cathedral — but you need the champion essences from
Mission 10 first.
Mission10
Essences of the Fallen
Quest log: “Essences of the Fallen”
Two of Queen Persh's fallen champions guard the final seal. Each is reached through a side seal at
the Nivarya Cathedral, and each seal eats one amulet every time you cross it —
bring a stack.
Scarab Amulet
western altar → Chaos Hydra hunt
Ancient Amulet
eastern altar → Bonereaper hunt
- Place a scarab amulet on the western altar and walk into the flame.
It takes you to the Chaos Hydra hunting ground.
- Sayron, the loyal spawns there once 80 Chaos Hydras have been killed
server-wide — the counter is shared by everybody online, so you are never
farming it alone.
- Place an ancient amulet on the eastern altar for the
Bonereaper hunting ground. Fherumin, the wise spawns there after
120 Bonereapers server-wide.
- When a champion dies, every player standing within 7 tiles of it
absorbs 1 essence. Stay close for the kill — damage alone does not earn it.
- You need at least 1 essence of Sayron and 1 essence of Fherumin per
attempt at the final seal. Your quest log shows how many you are carrying.
Farm spares. Every crossing of the final seal in Mission 11 burns one of each essence,
including failed attempts where the boss is already locked for the day. Stock up before you commit.
Next: Mission 11 — open the cathedral.
Mission11
The Cathedral Seals
Quest log: “The Cathedral Seals”
White Pearl
opens the cathedral
The two champion essences are not items — they are counters on your character,
shown in your quest log. You cannot trade them, drop them or lose them on death.
- At the Nivarya Cathedral, place a white pearl on the outer altar
and pull the entry switch. The floor opens beneath the altar.
- Walk into the final seal flame. It consumes 1 essence of Sayron and
1 essence of Fherumin and teleports you behind the seal. Without both, it bounces you
straight back out.
- In the boss chamber, the final lever only works while the
pressure plate beside it is held down. Stand on the plate and pull the lever
from there, or have a second player do it.
- Sapiovor — the embodiment of Tafariel's curse — is summoned:
50,000 HP, 20,000 experience.
- Kill it. Everyone nearby who is on this step gets credit and the message
“The great evil has been stopped!”
One summon per server day. The moment somebody pulls the final lever, the
chamber is locked server-wide until the next server save. If it is already
taken today, the entry teleport will refuse you — and you will still have spent your
essences getting there.
Next: Mission 12 — report the kill to High Inquisitor Sereun.
Mission12
The Curse Broken
Quest log: “The Curse Broken”
- Return to High Inquisitor Sereun at the western expedition base and say
mission.
- He directs you to the underground vault of the cathedral at the base.
Claim your final reward there.
Questline complete. Tafariel's curse over Tarafhyr is broken — though
Sereun warns that a second curse has already been announced somewhere called the
Pits of Inferno.
Every kill requirement
All counters are per character and tracked in your quest log — except the two
champion spawns, which are shared by the whole server.

4,000 HP · 2,950 exp
Spawns after 80 Chaos Hydras are killed server-wide.
Fherumin, the wise
4,000 HP · 2,950 exp
Spawns after 120 Bonereapers are killed server-wide.
Sapiovor
50,000 HP · 20,000 exp
Summoned by the final lever. One summon per server day.
No level requirement. Nothing in the questline checks your level — but the
content does. Chapter I and II are comfortable from the mid game; Chapter III's Frozemoths
(6,500 HP) and Sapiovor (50,000 HP) are endgame content and expect a team.
Queen Persh's gem puzzle
The throne room floor is a grid of gem-switch tiles. Lay the gems out exactly as shown, then pull the
lever — all 15 gems are consumed when the puzzle solves, so bring a full set every
time you run it. Grey squares stay empty.
The grid is drawn north at the top, west on the left — the same orientation as your
game screen when you walk into the room from the south.
Notes & common pitfalls
| Situation | What is actually happening |
| “Rayin has no mission for me” |
You finished a task with a citizen but never went back to Rayin, or you went back to
Rayin but never actually finished with the citizen. Re-check the current step in your
quest log — it always names the NPC you owe. |
| Monk Fryns won't accept the farm report |
The letter at Brend's farm has to be read, not just found. Until you open it,
the investigation does not count. |
| “You cannot use this yet” on the star herbs |
You do not have Inquisitor Blade's permission yet — go back and finish the
150 Giant Skeletons, then talk to him again before entering the ruin. |
| Rayin refuses an armory item |
The ten pieces are accepted in a fixed order. If he asks for a crown helmet, a crown
armor in your backpack does nothing until the helmet is handed in. |
| “You are not worthy” at the Undead Mirror |
The passage needs 500 Frozemoth kills on your character. There is no
way around it and no party sharing. |
| The pagoda passage closed again |
Each room reopens after 15 minutes and the main passage after 30. If you take too long
between rooms you will have to relight them. |
| “You cannot enter here anymore today!” |
Sapiovor has already been summoned by someone else since the last server save. The
chamber unlocks again at the next daily server save. |
| I killed the champion but got no essence |
Essences are awarded to everyone within 7 tiles at the moment of death.
If you were kiting from range or running for supplies when it dropped, you get nothing. |
| Started the questline in Nivarya, not Carlin |
That is fine. If you reached Nivarya another way you can begin directly at Inquisitor
Rayin (Mission 2) — Chapter I only exists to unlock the Carlin ferry. |
Keyword cheat sheet: hi to open,
mission to ask for or report a task, yes to accept,
nivarya for anything to do with passage to the city.
