Community Rules
All players are responsible for knowing and abiding by these rules. Violations may result in progressive sanctions at the sole discretion of the Valyria Staff.
Warning
Temporary Ban
Permanent Ban
Enforcement Discretion. Valyria reserves the right to act against any disruptive behavior in-game, on the website, or across any official Valyria service — including conduct not explicitly listed below. Sanctions are determined by the severity of the infraction and the player's prior record, and are applied at the sole and unrestricted discretion of the Valyria Staff. In serious cases, the team may also alter character attributes, remove items, or delete characters entirely, with no obligation to provide compensation. These rules may be updated at any time.

Character Names
Offensive Name

Names that are insulting, racist, sexually related, drug-related, harassing, extremist, or otherwise objectionable.
Inappropriate Name
Warning
Names expressing religious or political views, referencing real-life celebrities or nations, or those that encourage rule violations (e.g., "Bot", "Hacker").
Invalid Format
Warning
Names that form sentences (e.g., "Mike Returns"), use nonsensical letter combinations (e.g., "Fgfshdsfg"), or are badly formatted (e.g., "Thegreatknight").
Advertising Name
WarningTemporary Ban
Names that promote brands, products, services, or real-money trading.
Staff Impersonation
Permanent Ban
Names suggesting affiliation with the administration (e.g., "GM", "ADM", "System Admin") are strictly forbidden.

Conduct & Communication
Offensive Statements
WarningTemporary Ban
Insults, racism, harassment, sexist or drug-related remarks are prohibited. Statements containing real-life threats against other players are treated as a severe offense.
Spam & Flooding
Warning
Excessive repetition of messages or use of nonsensical text in any public channel is not allowed.
Unauthorized Advertising
Temporary Ban
Advertising other servers, third-party services, or real-money trading (RMT) anywhere on Valyria's platforms is forbidden.
Off-Topic Use
Warning
Public channels must be used only for their intended purpose. Religious and political discussions are not permitted in any public space.
Personal Data Disclosure
Temporary Ban
Sharing personal information of other players without their consent is strictly prohibited.
Doxing & Real-Life Threats
Permanent Ban
Obtaining, sharing, or threatening to use another player's real-life information — including threats of real-world harm — is a serious violation subject to immediate permanent action.

Cheating & Fair Play
Bug Abuse
Temporary BanPermanent Ban
Exploiting obvious errors in the game is forbidden. The severity of the sanction will depend on the nature of the bug, how significant its impact was, and whether the player deliberately triggered it or was incidentally involved. Reporting bugs will never result in punishment and is actively encouraged.
Bots & External Software
Permanent Ban
The use of any external software, bot, macro, script, or third-party tool that automates in-game actions — or that interacts with the game client in any unauthorized way — is strictly prohibited with zero tolerance. Players found using such programs are subject to immediate permanent action across all associated accounts, regardless of context or explanation.
Unattended Gameplay
Temporary BanPermanent Ban
Keeping a character active through physical means (such as placing an object on the keyboard) does not constitute the use of external software. However, if a player is found unresponsive during a staff verification check or automated challenge, the incident will be reviewed and sanctioned at staff discretion based on the full context.
Client Tampering
Permanent Ban
Modifying, injecting code into, hooking, or otherwise altering the official game client is forbidden. Running debugging tools, memory analyzers, reverse-engineering software, or having cheat-related background software active while the client is open may also trigger sanctions. The Valyria client includes active anti-tamper protections; specific detection methods will not be disclosed.
Virtual Machines
Permanent Ban
Running the game inside virtual machines, emulated environments, or sandboxed systems intended to bypass client protections is not allowed.
VPN & Proxies
Temporary BanPermanent Ban
✅ Allowed: Connection improvers like ExitLag or NoPing while actively playing with a single character online.
❌ Forbidden: VPNs, VPS connections, and remote desktop access to play or keep characters online.
Multi-Client (MC)
Permanent BanTemporary Ban
Each player may only have one character online at a time, regardless of the number of devices or internet connections available. Running additional clients simultaneously — whether on the same machine or different devices sharing the same network — is forbidden.
In cases where multiple players share a household network, each must be able to demonstrate independent, physically present play upon staff request. The final determination of whether a violation has occurred rests entirely with the Valyria Staff, who reserve the right to investigate and act based on all available evidence.

False Information & Staff Relations
Staff Impersonation
Temporary Ban
Pretending to be a member of the Valyria Staff or claiming to have their powers or legitimacy is prohibited.
False Reports
WarningTemporary Ban
Submitting intentionally misleading or fabricated information in support tickets, ban appeals, or bug reports is forbidden.
Defamation
Temporary Ban
Spreading clearly false information about Valyria or its staff, or calling for boycotts against the server, will not be tolerated.
Staff Threats & Blackmail
Permanent Ban
Any threat — direct or implied — toward staff members, or any attempt to exert pressure through blackmail, will be treated as a severe offense.

Legal Matters
Account Theft & Hacking
Permanent Ban
Any attempt to steal accounts, distribute phishing links, or breach player or server data is strictly prohibited.
Server Attacks
Permanent Ban
Attempting to disrupt, damage, or compromise Valyria's servers or any related service will result in immediate permanent account action and may be reported to relevant authorities.
Fraudulent Payments
Permanent Ban
Transactions made with fraudulent, unauthorized, or third-party funds will result in permanent account suspension. All sales of digital goods are final and non-refundable due to the instant nature of delivery.
Violation of Law
Permanent Ban
Any unlawful activity connected to Valyria's platforms will be treated accordingly and may be escalated to the appropriate authorities.
Ownership Clause
By creating an account in Valyria Online, you acknowledge that all accounts, characters, and virtual assets are the exclusive property of Valyria Online, provided under a limited, revocable license with no ownership rights.

Gameplay
Excessive Player Killing
Temporary Ban
The server enforces automatic PK limits to prevent abuse: 6 kills per day · 10 kills per week · 20 kills per month. Exceeding these limits triggers an automatic account suspension.
Blocking Protection Zones
Warning
Deliberately blocking the entry or exit of protection zones — alone or as a group — in a way that prevents other players from passing is forbidden.
Griefing
Temporary Ban
Intentionally disrupting other players' experience for no legitimate in-game reason — including repeated unjustified kills, blocking progression, or any behavior designed purely to harm others' enjoyment — is considered harassment and will be penalized accordingly.
Destructive Behavior
Temporary Ban
Actions that alter or break game dynamics in a way that harms the server or individual players — including abuse of mechanics not explicitly listed in these rules — are subject to staff review and action.

Purchases & Transactions
Age Requirement
Players under the age of 18 must obtain parental or guardian consent before making any purchase.
Authorized Funds
Purchases must only be made using funds that legally belong to the purchaser. Unauthorized use of third-party funds — including stolen or borrowed payment methods — is strictly prohibited and will result in permanent account suspension.
No Refunds
All products are digital and delivered instantly upon purchase. Due to the nature of instant delivery, all sales are final and non-refundable. Purchased items are non-returnable and non-replaceable; loss of items acquired through purchases will not result in replacements or refunds.
Fraudulent Payments
Permanent Ban
Any transaction of fraudulent origin — including chargebacks, disputed payments, or use of stolen funds — will result in immediate and permanent account suspension. Valyria reserves the right to pursue recovery of losses through available legal means.
Right to Modify
Valyria reserves the right to modify, add, or remove in-game items available through purchases, adjust store tiers and benefits, and perform resets or maintenance at our sole discretion — which may affect the availability and functionality of purchased goods. No compensation is owed for changes made under normal operational circumstances.
Management Scale
Sanctions are applied at the sole discretion of the Valyria Staff. The team may apply any tier at any time — or skip tiers entirely — based on the circumstances of each case. Severe or intentional violations may result in a permanent ban on the first offense.
